Philosophical Talk #4: Horrible Father
Imagine the following:
Your father abuses you as a child, makes you suffer, makes you hurt, makes you do things out of desperation.
And after all that he says it's all a test and that you must still love him. And if you don't he'll really make you pay when you're an adult. But if you do still love him despite that, then he'll treat you for your entire adult life to whatever you wanted.
If that happened in real life, that father would've been arrested for severe child abuse, and that child would've gone into therapy probably.
So how come this is immoral if a human does it, but if God 'tests' us in this life, then how come God isn't considered immoral and is fact good apparently? How does that make any sense?
